How To Root Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 Wi-Fi On Android 4.1.2 Firmware

Are you a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 (7-inch) user and your device is running on android 4.1.2 firmware? It is good and want to root the same you can follow this tutorial.

The recognized XDA developer, Jamison904 has released a pre-rooted firmware, which is Odin flashable file, for the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0. It has rooted the tab very well.

Pre-requirements:

1.First, make sure about your device model number. Since, this procedure works fine one and only in Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0. So, first ensure about your model number by following this path: Settings > System > About device > Model Number.

2.Next, take a full backup of all your internal datas. As this is a rooting procedure, it will wipe all your datas so, have a full backup of all your important datas.

3.Next, check the battery percentage level of your phone and make sure it is not less than 75%. If it is low, plug into the charger and charge your tablet fully.

4.Next install the USB driver for your tablet and transfer the files between your device and computer.

5.After that enable the USB Debugging option on your tablet and connect your phone to the computer and use the android SDK with it.

6.Then make sure, your Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 is factory unlocked and not locked to any particular carrier.

Procedure to root Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 (SM-T210/T210R) which is running on Android 4.1.2:

1.First download the root package and Odin file from this page.

2.Once you have downloaded the file, extract the Odin Zip to get Odin3 v3.07.exe.

3.Next turn off the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 and wait for around 6-7 seconds. A vibration will come to confirm your tablet is switched off completely.

4.After that allow your tablet to enter into the download mode by pressing and holding Volume Down button, Home button and Power button simultaneously. Now, a warning screen will appear, just press the Volume Up Button to continue to enter into the download mode.

5.Next run the Odin3 v3.0.7.exe as administrator.

6.After that connect the tablet to the computer with the help of USB cable. While you are connecting your tablet to the computer, just make sure your tablet is still in download mode.

7.Then wait for some time until the Odin detects your tablet. Once it detects, you will get the ADDED message. Also, the ID:COM box in Odin will turn into the blue color with the COM port number. These two symptoms confirms that your phone was successfully detected by the Odin.

Note:Note: In case, you have not see any added message, try another USB port. In case, the Odin stills fails to recognize the tablet, re-install the USB driver and then try the steps one more time.

8.In Odin, just click the PDA button and select the .tar.md5 root file.

9.Then make sure in Odin the AUTO REBOOT and F.RESET TIME check boxes are selected. But uncheck the Re-Partition option.

10.After that double check everything and click the start button in Odin. The installation process should begin now and would take few minutes to complete.

11.Once the installation process is finished, your tablet will reboot automatically and you will see the PASS message with the green background. You can see this PASS message in the left box at the top of Odin. It indicates, your tablet was successfully rooted. Then disconnect your tablet from the computer.

That’s it! Now, your Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 tablet which is running on Android 4.1.2 was rooted successfully. Once your device boots up, open the SuperSU and update the binary.
