1.Backup all your internal stuff and data’s which was available on your phone with the help of backup applications.
2.Then enable the USB Debugging mode by following the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB Debugging”.
3.Then disable the security apps and programs like Antivirus and firewall temporarily on your phone.
4.You must be on HBOOT 2.18, and you must have unlocked the bootloader of your device by visiting this link.
5.Finally, check the battery percentage level of your Sony Xperia E Dual smartphone, if it is less than 75% let them charge fully.
1.First download the root package file on your desktop.
2.Next extract the files from the root package to your desktop.
3.Make sure that you have fastboot.exe file on your desktop.
4.Then turn OFF your phone and reboot your phone into the bootloader mode. For that you need to press and hold the Volume Down button + Power button simultaneously, that’s it now you will be in the bootloader mode.
5.There select the Fastboot option using the power button.
6.After that connect your phone to the PC via USB cable.
7.Now, open a command prompt window on your desktop. For that press and hold the shift key on your keyboard and right-click on any empty area on the screen and choose the open command window here.
8.Enter the given below command into the command prompt window you have just opened:
fastboot flash recovery recovery-RA-supersonic-v2.3.img
9.After that wait for few minutes until it finishes the flashing process on your phone.
10.Next select the bootloader option in your phone by using the Power button.
11.Now you can see many options on your screen, in that select recovery option.
12.Next in the recovery menu, choose USB-MS toggle option.
13.Now, your phone will be shown as a disk on your computer. Next transfer the CWM-SuperSU-v.0.87.zip file you extracted and already saved in the root folder.
14.After that choose “flash zip from SD card” option followed by “choose zip from SD card” option in the recovery menu. Now, go to the folder where you have transferred the zip file in the above step and select the same for flashing process.
15.Once the flashing process is finished, reboot your phone.
That’s it! Now, you have root access on your HTC EVO 4G. Enjoy its advantages by installing custom ROM, firmware etc.
