Nexus 5 is the new creation of mobile manufacturer LG and the software giant Google. If you have rooted your Nexus 5 smartphone and wanted to install custom ROM, follow the given below procedure.

Before proceeding with the actual procedure, follow the given below pre-requisites without fail to avoid the unwelcome results.

1.First, you need to have root access on your device.

2.Also make sure, the custom recovery either (CWM/TWRP) is installed on your phone. If not first install the same and then come here to install custom ROM.

3.Next, enable the USB debugging on your phone by following the path “Settings >About > Build Version and tap it 7 times.” Then go back to Settings > Developer Options and enable the USB debugging mode. Although this step is not necessary to install custom ROM, keeping the USB debugging enabled always will good in unexpected situations.

5.After that boot your Nexus 5 into the recovery mode. To do that manually, turn off your phone and press the Volume Up/Down button and Power button. You need to press all these three buttons simultaneously for few seconds. After that your phone will turn into the Bootloader mode. Now, press any of the volume buttons to scroll recovery menu. When you see that option, press the power button and select the option.
