How To Root LG Optimus L5 II Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean Official Firmware

If you are an LG Optimus L5 II smartphone user and want to root your phone, just follow this tutorial. This will help you to root successfully.

This method has been tested and proven in XDA forums. The supported LG Optimus L5 II model includes E450 and E460. The E455 model was not successfully rooted by following this procedure. If your phone has this model number, please do not attempt this procedure.


As this procedure is a one-click-root process and will not damage your phone, even-though it was failed to root your phone. To follow this procedure, please follow the given below pre-requisites without fail.


1.First check your phone model number (E450/e460) by following the path Settings → About Device → Model Number

2.Next download and install the LG Optimus L5 II USB driver for Windows from here and install the same on your computer.

3.Connect your LG Optimus L5 II smartphone to the computer by using USB cable to finish the driver installation process. In case, if you have already installed the driver skip this step.

4.Next enable the USB debugging option on your phone.

5.Then check the battery percentage level of your smartphone and make sure it is not less than 70%.

6.Then ensure you have backup all your important data’s so then you can restore them once you have finished the rooting process.

1.First download this tool. Press the red circle to download.


2.So, once you downloaded the tool, install the same by double click on the downloaded exe file. You may see the icon on your desktop once you have installed the software.

3.Next activate the software by clicking on the icon at the desktop.

4.After that connect your phone to the computer using USB cable and wait for the detection of your device.

5.Once the software detects your device, you will see your device model on the software windows.

6.Click the green button on the windows to initiate the rooting process.

7.Within few minutes, the process will be finished, and you will see a “Tick” on the software.

8.After that, your phone will get reboot automatically. But for that it will take sometime so, you need to wait until patiently.

9.To check the rooting status in your LG Optimus L5 II smartphone just download the root checker app from Google Play Store and check the same.

    please, I need an advice; how do I activate Debugging through USB, if there is no way to enable it in the system settings? I see the item, but it has a grey color of font and doesn´t react on checking it. I have a MacAfee security installed but I suppose it´s not the cause. Thanks!

      To enable Android Debug Bridge over USB you must first disconnect your USB cable from your phone!

  3. Vroot, now called Iroot is UNNABLE to root LG E460 anymore. Plus, it install lots of sh*tty app on your phone. AVOID.
