1.Backup all your internal stuffs and data’s which was available on your phone with the help of backup applications.
2.Next install the Micromax USB driver on your PC. It is essential to connect your phone and the computer.
3.Then enable the USB Debugging mode from development section (you will get it after you connect the device and PC). If you are not getting this option don’t panic just continue as such.
4.Finally, check the battery percentage level of your Micromax Canvas HD A116 and if it is less than 75% let them to charge fully.
Procedure to install CWM recovery on Micromax Canvas HD A116:
2.So, once you downloaded the above mentioned files; just extract the Sp flash tool.zip file and then execute Flash Tool.exe.
3.After that click the scatter loading button in the smart phone flash tool window and then choose the MTK android scatter emmc.txt file.
4.Now, several entries will appear on the smartphone flash tool ignore everyone and select only the recovery option.
5.Click the Recovery button on the smartphone flash tool window and then locate the recovery.img you have already downloaded.
6.Next go to the flash tools and click the USB mode and make sure it is enabled.
7.Next go to the options> DA download all> Speed> Force to High Speed.
8.Remove the SIM and battery from your phone and click the download button on the smartphone flash tool window. Just ignore all the warnings and tap the YES button.
9.Now, insert the battery and connect your Micromax Canvas HD A116 to the computer using USB cable while holding the Volume Up key. The flashing process will begin.

2.Once you downloaded the file just copy them to your SD card.
3.Next boot your phone into the recovery mode by pressing and holding the Volume up button down button and power button.
4.While in Clockworkmod recovery select “Wipe data/factory reset > Wipe Cache partition”. After that go to the advanced option and select “Wipe Dalvik Cache” option.
5.Now come back to the main menu and select the option “install zip from SD card” and then select the Superuser 3.1.3 arm-signed-.zip package by scroll down the button. And also install the SU Bin zip file.
6.Once the installation of both these files were finished reboot your phone.
